What you can do on Vi3w

• Rebuild without code

  Upload a GLB model and pick an AR type. Hotspots, the start screen and languages (English and Korean) are set in the editor.

• Links and QR codes, no app

  Publishing creates a unique link and QR code. They open in Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android and in-app browsers such as KakaoTalk.

• AR types

  3D viewing, floor AR, image tracking, face and location AR. Floor AR opens in Quick Look on iPhone and in in-browser AR (WebXR) or Scene Viewer on Android.

• See results

  Views, devices and sources (link or QR) for each experience on your dashboard.

• Your domain and landing pages

  Build landing pages that collect your experiences, and open them on your company domain on eligible plans.

What is different

• 8th Wall project code (JavaScript, A-Frame) doesn't carry over. You upload 3D models, images and videos and rebuild in the editor.
• On iPhone, floor AR opens in Apple Quick Look rather than inside the browser, so on-screen buttons such as hotspots aren't shown during AR.
• Cylinder targets (bottle and can labels), sky effects and visual positioning (VPS) are not supported.
• Printed 8th Wall QR codes point to 8th Wall addresses. Use the new Vi3w QR code, or talk to us about your options.

How to move

1. 1Gather the 3D models (GLB), target images and videos from your 8th Wall project.
2. 2Sign up for Vi3w and upload your models. They are prepared for the web viewer automatically.
3. 3Create an experience and pick the AR type. For image tracking, upload the target image.
4. 4Publish and swap in the new link or QR code. Open it on a phone first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import 8th Wall projects automatically?

No. There is no tool that moves code projects. You upload your 3D models (GLB) and images and rebuild in the editor. If you have many campaigns to move, get in touch.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. On the free plan you can build every AR type — 3D viewing, floor, image, face and location AR — and share it by QR code.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. Image, face and location AR run with the camera inside Safari, and floor AR opens in Apple Quick Look.

Does Vi3w use the 8th Wall engine?

No. Vi3w is not affiliated with 8th Wall and does not use the 8th Wall engine.
